Our Mission

Our Mission

Helping residents obtain funded energy saving measures with the aim of improving properties and reducing energy bills at no cost.

By following the Whole House Approach we look at all aspects of heating, insulation and ventilation to raise the efficiency of every home to today’s standards.

We have expertise in a variety of different areas, from designing and supplying energy saving measures to managing energy saving projects.

We offer a complete service from design, installation and commissioning. Our experts can identify ways to cut your energy costs so you can save money on your bills.

Solar Photovoltaics
Solar PV is an effective addon to a new and efficient electric heating system.
A system such as an air-source heat pump or high-heat retention
storage heaters can become more effective with the addition of solar panels. Our panels
will allow you to generate electricity using solar energy even in
ambient lighting which is perfect for the United Kingdom
Loft insulation

Around 25% of all heat loss from an uninsulated home is through the roof.
This means insulating your loft if one of the most cost-effective ways that
you can take to start saving money.

Boiler Installation
we can upgrade a wide range of energy
efficient boilers suited to your specific property,
whether you need a new Gas Combi boiler,
or an LPG Boiler.
Cavity Wall Insulation

Cavity wall insulation is a material that provides a barrier between the
inside and outside of a building. It prevents heat escaping
from the house in winter and entering in summer by
providing an insulation layer.

If your home has external cavity walls and was built between
1926 and 1983 it probably had no cavity wall insulation installed.
Homeowners should consider cavity wall insulation to
reduce energy bills. This is one of the most effective ways to
keep heat inside your property.

Air-Source Heat Pumps

ASHP is a renewable type of low-carbon heating system
that utilises air outside. They can be used as low as
-15 degrees centigrade.
When sucking in air, it is condensed, heating
it and providing warmth to a home.

External wall insulation
If your home was built pre 1920s,
its external walls are probably solid walls
rather than cavity walls. However solid walls can still
be insulated. External wall insulation is a layer of
insulation fixed to the outside walls of your property.
It creates a blanket around your home,
restricting heat escaping in the winter and keeping
you home cooler in the summer. This type of
insulation also reduces damp and improves your
home's look, often making it look brand
Interior wall insulation
If your home was built pre 1920s, its external walls are probably
solid walls rather than cavity walls. However solid walls can still
be insulated. External wall insulation is a layer of insulation fixed
to the outside walls of your property. It creates a blanket around your home,
restricting heat escaping in the winter and keeping you home cooler in the
summer. This type of insulation also reduces damp and
improves your home's look, often making it look brand
Underfloor insulation

Floor insulation can make a big difference while cutting energy costs and
saving you money. Installing it involves adding an insulating
material beneath your floorboards and/or concrete floor
at ground level, stopping heat escaping as well as preventing draughts.
If your property has a suspended wooden floor, insulation material
around is added between all the joists, and generally make sure that the gap is filled.
If it's a concrete floor, we will cover the cellar in as many layers
of insulation material as have been deemed appropriate.

Ventilation

You may need additional ventilation installed at the same time.
Effective ventilation helps keep your home energy-efficient, safe, and healthy as it helps to control the airflow.
Here are just a few of the benefits of improved ventilation in your home. Regulates air flow in your home,
Positive impact on health and wellbeing, Helps to control household temperature,
Reduces risk of condensation, residue and mould Expels air impurities and odours.

Frequently Asked Questions

We get allot of customers asking about government grants and funding. Please read below to find out more.

Under the Government’s ECO Scheme, qualifying home owners and private tenants can have home insulation or a new boiler installed either free of charge, or heavily subsidised.

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a UK Government energy efficiency scheme to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty. It means that energy companies are obliged to fund energy efficiency measures for those who can least afford the upfront costs. Which is great news for householders who fit the grant criteria! I provide energy efficiency measures under two grant schemes – ECO, and ECO Flex.

ECO

May be available to anyone in receipt of certain benefits. Click here for more information.

ECO Flex Funding

If you aren’t eligible for ECO Funding, you may still have access to a grant through ECO Flex Funding. Criteria for ECO Flex Funding is set by local councils. Every council is different so get in touch to find out if you could qualify.

Smarter-Eco provide various energy saving services like energy performance certificates, cavity wall insulation, loft insulation and boiler replacement.

If you are eligible for funding then the entire service cost can be free. Not all households will qualify for the government-backed funding services, we will let you know the costings every step of the way.

There are no hidden costs. Call today for a free no-obligation survey.

Testimonials

We’re well-known for our high-quality services, see what our local customers had to say about us.

“smarter-eco visited my property, carried out a short survey and within a month installed cavity wall insulation, loft insulation and a new boiler is being installed next month. I was hugely sceptical at first but I had seen others in the neighbourhood being done so agreed to the survey.

I would recommend smarter-eco, I found the process quick and effortless. They have made my home feel warmer and reduced my monthly bills.”

D Summers

Wyke Regis, Weymouth, Dorset

“After a knock on the door and a very clear explanation and follow up email of details, I agreed to a survey on the hope to better insulate my property and reduce rising energy bills. Ned and his team visited my property to find no insulation in the walls at all and took care of everything.

At no cost to myself my property is warmer, easier to heat and stays warmer longer.”
